Salesforce Overview
Admissions Counselors at 2U serve many University Partners with varying needs. To tailor to these unique needs, all Admissions teams have customized instances of Salesforce. The challenge was to design an instructor-led general introduction to Salesforce that would be relevant to all new employees regardless of their team.

The solution was to generalize the lesson, focusing on the basics applicable to all instances of Salesforce, while giving the participants a guided activity after the lesson to talk with senior counselors on their team to identify custom properties and their uses.

Working with the other ISDs on my team, we brainstormed the Superhero theme to be used throughout the lesson. Depending on they type of information to be recorded, the learner selects the correct superhero Salesforce field.

slide Deck
The slide deck is given to the adjunct trainer to guide the presentation. It is intended to be used with the facilitator guide (example below) and cues the instructor on talking points, pulse checks, breaks and activities for the participants.

Developed using Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
facilitator guide
To be used in conjunction with the slide deck, the facilitator guide outlines all the steps the instructor will perform before, during, and after the lesson. This includes a materials checklist, email templates, activity instructions and slide by slide talking points.

Developed using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
participant guide
The participant guide is an Acrobat fillable PDF designed to allow learners to record information during the lesson. The instructor may cue the learner to visit a specific page of their guide to take notes of important information, or the learner may use the guide to complete activities in group break-out sessions.

Developed using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
give-a-damn sheet
Inspired by one of 2U's guiding principals, the Give-A-Damn Sheet is a one page key-takeaways of the lesson. The instructor sends the sheet as an attachment to the 'thank-you' email after the lesson is completed.

Developed using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
